Granola
What is more traditional than Greek Yogurt topped with granola and fresh berries? Of course you could buy some granola at the store… but homemade is always better! Here is one of our favorite recipes - top any of our Frozen Greek Yogurts with this simple and nutritious granola to add a crunch to your favorite frozen bite, morning, noon or night!
Ingredients:
3 C Oats
1 C Chopped Pecans
1 C Slivered Almonds
1 C Pumpkin Seeds
1/2 C Sunflower Seeds
1/2 C Unsweetened Coconut Flakes
1/2 t Celtic Sea Salt
1 t Cinnamon
1/2 C Coconut Oil
1/2 C Pure Maple Syrup
1/4 C Honey
1 T Vanilla Extract
1 t Maple Extract
Directions:
Preheat the Oven to 350 F
In a small bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients. In a separate large bowl, combine and mix all of the dry ingredients. Then pour the wet ingredients into the bowl over the dry ingredients and mix well so that all of the oats and nuts are nicely coated with the wet mixture
Lightly grease a large rimmed baking sheet with coconut oil. Spread the granola mixture evenly across the baking sheet
Put the baking sheet in the oven for 20 minutes, then turn the oven off. Keep the granola in the oven and let it cool. Do your best to resist the temptation to open it up and take a bite! Once the oven is cool, take the granola out of the oven. You can store the granola for weeks in an airtight jar or ziplock bag.
