Chocolate Hummus
You normally find Hummus and Greek Yogurt together as part of a well constructed mezze. But how about for dessert? This rich Chocolate Hummus eats like a rich brownie batter. Try this recipe with a scoop of Madagascar Vanilla Bean TruJoy Yogurt next time you’re in need of a healthful treat!
Ingredients:
14 oz Can of Chickpeas, drained & rinsed
4 T Tahini (Can sub another Nut Butter)
4 T Date Molasses (Can sub Honey)
4 T Dutched Cocoa
1/2 t Vanilla Extract
2-4 T Whole Milk
pinch of salt
Madagascar Vanilla Bean TruJoy Yogurt
Optional Toppings: Strawberries, Chopped Pecans, Cacao Nibs, or use your imagination!
Directions:
Combine the Chickpeas, Tahini, Date Molasses, Vanilla Extract, Salt and 2 T of Milk in a food processor and blend until smooth and creamy. You may need to scrape the sides of the bowl a few times to make sure everything is blended. Add more Milk if necessary until you reach your desired consistency. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
To serve, Spread in a shallow bowl and create a couple of divots with the back of a spoon. Scoop some TruJoy Yogurt into the divots and sprinkle with the toppings of your choice.
