Apple Crisp

Enjoy this rendition of a fall classic with a scoop of our Madagascar Vanilla Bean Frozen Greek Yogurt!

For the Filling:

  • 6 Granny Smith Apples, peeled and cut into 1/2” cubes

  • 1/4 C Honey

  • 1 1/2 tsp Cinnamon

  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

For the Topping:

  • 1/4 C All Purpose Flour, you can substitute with Oat or Almond Flour for Gluten Free

  • 1/2 C Rolled Oats

  • 1/2 C Chopped Pecans

  • 1 tsp Cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp Sea Salt

  • 1/4 C Maple Syrup

  • 2 T Butter, Cold & Cubed

Directions:

  • Preheat the oven to 350F and lightly grease a pie dish with butter

  • For the filling, combine the the chopped apples, Honey, Cinnamon and Vanilla Extract in a bowl and mix well. Refrigerate and allow the flavors to come together

  • For the topping, in a separate bowl mix the Flour, Oats, Pecans, Cinnamon and Sea Salt and then add the Maple Syrup and Butter. Mix well until all of the ingredients begin to stick together.

  • Take 1/3 of the topping mixture and mix with the filling. Pour the filling and spread evenly across the pie dish. Then take the rest of the topping and spread across the top. Bake for 45 minutes, or until golden brown.

  • Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving
